Hi lightmov10, Speed can depend on so many things,so I'll start by asking who is your ISP and do you have a wall in front of the globe in LW....;)

hii wondering why

thenks for responding so fast.

im with ctc (saudi telecom company ) and there wasnt any problem before with them.

am using linksys router and i did the port forwading on it and the strange thing is:

1 . am using also bitcommet and it's working so fine with me with a very fast download up to 55 kkp. i'v just tride it 2 mints ago

2. i was just perfect with limewire yesterday and the speed was ammaizing but just 8 hours ago i started having this problem ( speed is very slow) and it is for all kind of files

even when i download a movie and it says ( downloading from 2 hosts) the speed never go more than 4 kkp.

once again thanks for your help.

Does your ISP shape or throttle your connection ie, between certain times of the day or once you have reached your monthly quota???
When you download and get lets say 10 hosts for that file do you still get really slow speeds???
What version of Java are you using??

lightmov10 May 26th, 2006 08:54 AM

no the ISP dosent throttle my connectiom at all there is no limit for the downloading at all.
will to be certain the max hosts i'v faced is 4 hosts with a max 4 kkp speed.:(

my java is J2S RUNTIME ENVIRONMENT 5.0 Update 6

I'd say it the Hosts then and their speed, try a really popular MP3 with heaps of Hosts and see what speed you get..
Also you can do a speed test from here
