Default Download speeds

I've been using LW basic for sometime now - But since the beginning of the week something has changed.

I used to get speeds of 20,30,40,50 kbs but now even though i am downloading from sometimes 3 hosts it will start off at say 7 kbs then fall down to 1 maybe 2 kb or even to zero.

does anyone know why this has happened i haven't altered any settings.

it's driving me nuts

can anyone help please

Try shutting down LW and restarting it. See if the speeds pick up.

Who is your isp? It's possible they have Started shaping/filtering p2p apps.

It could be your isp. Here,s a couple threads about Tiscali:

You could call them and ask, though they might not tell you.

I have verizon dsl, haven't had any problems yet. Depends where you live as to what would be available.
