Which version of LW & Java are you using? Make sure you have at least Java 1.5 Go to your LW Library window, select the Incomplete folder & arrange it alphabetically by clicking on the top of the column. Then see if you have more than one listing of the same file. If no then see below. Make a note of all your settings & then delete your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) |

I don't even know which OS you're using. I'm guessing windows XP. Might I suggest, downlding the latest beta 4.12.0 from here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml & you can see the changes here: LW Update history (click on link) |
Just connected to downloaded same program and now after making changes it has slowed down from an average speed of 15KB/s to 2KB/s. Could this be as a result of the changes i have now made? After weeks of trying to download this program and finaly getting it down to only having 2.5 Hours left to wait it is now, at this speed going to take another 12 days. Could there be a filter of some sort used by my ISP? I am very grateful for your advice so far, but could you help further please? Below is information that you may need. I hope this helps? Thank you OS is XP 512mb Ram 1Ghz AMD Processor Cable connection 2mb Download speed 1mb upload speed |
