Angry [Resolved] Firewall Poblems PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have installed LW Pro on a brand new pc and it will let me search, but not download. I have learned that Limewire will not work if behind a firewall. I have windows firewall, Norton Firewall and AOL firewall. I have tried uninstalling norton, turning off all the firewalls. And followed the step by step instructions in the help files regaurding windows firewall. PS I do not have a router either. Every time I go to limewire it detects a firewall I even Installed Lime wire basic, took it off and put on lime wire pro. nothing seems to work someone please help.

More than 1 firewall at a time will cause problems. Pick 1 & configure that.
Have you tried turning off AOL & Win firewalls & just configuring Norton?
http://www.limewire.com/english/cont.../firewalls.php

Do you have a modem? High speed modems can have their own internal firewall. Have you read through this?
Connection problems? Check here first!

What are your details (excuse the repeat questions!)?

OS(Win XP etc)
LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see)
Firewall you're using
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
Connection type (DSL etc)
Where you connect from (home, school etc)
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
Is this your first try with LW

Connection problems? Check here first!

What are your details (excuse the repeat questions!)?

OS(Win XP etc) = Winows XP Media Center Edition 2005
LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see) = Limewire 4.10.9 Pro Version & Java 1.5.0_07
Firewall you're using = I have windows firewall (turned off) I have AOL Safety and security center (firewall turned off) and had norton (came preinstalled then I deleted it)
Modem/router brand & model = Sprint 660 Series
ISP=Sprint
Connection type (DSL etc)=DSL
Where you connect from (home, school etc)=Home
Are you sharing a connection with other computers=No
Is this your first try with LW =No

I first wanted to say thank you for all the help, unfortunately I am still very frustrated. I called Sprint and found out that the modem I am using DOES have an internal firewall, but the tech said I need to set up a "bridge connection" so I did what he said, got back online and still when I open LW it says it is detecting a firewall. This computer is brand new, and I have used the DSL conection and modem with another computer with no problems at all LW runs fine. Infact this is the first computer I have ever had any problems with LW. PLEASE HELP!
Thanks Bill.

It looks as though Sprint use ZyXEL modems, you could have a look at the portforward page here
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm

I have no idea what a bridge connection does or how it would effect your modem This might be something you'll have to follow up with Sprint support. Somebody else here might have some more ideas... sorry I can't be of more help

Does your file move into the download pane? If not, it could be a simple license issue (click on link)
License
