Default slow download

hi i have high speed dsl, and a strong connection, but sometimes it will fluxuate and my downloads peak at 1kb/s i've tryed ereything but i cant get the speed faster it used to be lightning quick in the high 20's. but it sux now. please help.

Download speed depends on your connection & the connection of the host(s) you're downloading from, how well you've both got your LW set up, whether it's "peak time" for your ISP & there's congestion etc etc. If speeds have suddenly dropped from all types of sources then I'd be a bit suspicious... who is your ISP? Download a file from here & see what speeds you get

You could also try deleting your LW preferences folder (when LW's closed). Instructions here

yeah dsl is faster than dial up but if u want true broadband uve got to try comcast

DSL companies are far far less likely to censor your connection or limit your
bandwidth. The end result is you get no problems with DSL and more
downloading actually gets done.
