Unhappy Download issue

Hi folks,

I dont know if its just me, or maybe I have altered a setting in Limewire, but every vid/movie I have downloaded or download recently plays (or at least previews) UPSIDE DOWN.
I am reluctant to let these finish, due to download limits with my isp, but it has occurred from anything from [edit] to [edit] to 1980's movies (as an examples only [edit] and [edit]).
Any advice would be most welcome.

Edited to comply with the House Rules.

First advice:
No posting of file names of copyright protected stuff:
House Rules
Get back to your post and remove the file names, please!(right bottom corner of your post "Edit")

Second advice:
Your problem sounds like a codecs problem. Download the free VLC player with built-in codecs (most recommended player here):

Thanks for the response.
I dont believe I have included any files names per se, only examples as stated, and that does not to me reading contravene the house rules. In any even I have amended my orginal post.
You suggest I download this other player. Does it interact with limewire, or do I just use it as I would the two commericial ones I current use and have licences for (being realone or windows media)?

Finally I must admit I do not understand the last part of your post:
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face."
I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?"
I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
ciao for now

The x-ed titles of the two movies I clearly understand as having been download by you, hence your mentioning of them represents a breaking of the forum rules....!!! (which I politely tried to bring to your attention)

VLC player can function like the integreted preview function of LW. But therefore you have to make it your default player and uncheck the player option in LW/ Tools/ Options/ Player

Hi footofthehill,
As a novice and second time user of these forums I did not understand that a mere mention of a movie as an example, was a contravention of the house rules.
Yes I have downloaded previews

Further "No posting of file names of copyright protected stuff:"...polite?
Sounds more like a statement to me.
Thanks for clarifying this

I am more than happy to use vlc player as the default player, however none of the links to download the player from the site you recommended seem to result in a one kb zip or non-zip file. I have tried all the various country links.
Is there another site I could download the player from?

I don't want to get further into this, but yes, I do think that my request was polite.

As for the VLC player, I've checked the link and I'm downloading at the moment the player "vlc-0.8.5.-win32" from " http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/vide....8.5-win32.exe " using IDM 5.03.

Regards

Thanks for the response.
The link has worked (cant understand why each one previously didnt, on the other page)...I will give the player a go trying to play the files downloaded.

Not sure what IDM3 is though.

Most people do not know the diff btwn politeness and manners.

I will post further with any issue that arise out of my trial (to use this player).

thank you again.

IDM stand for Internet Download Manager, which is a program that can accelerate downloads up to ten-fold, depending on whether the site you're downloading from supports download managers (Flash Get would be another one).

By the way, thanks to LOTR, I'm now aware that the LW media player is actually only meant for music files, not videos......
Though I've previewed a lot of files already, I've actually never realized that I see the movies with my default players (Media Player Classic and VLC). It just slipped my mind...

Anyways, I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the results using VLC......
Regards
