hi, i apologize if this is a question previously asked, i did check, but failed to see this specific question. i have had limewire basic previously and downloaded tons of music with ease. i just downloaded limewire's most recent basic, think it's 4???? when i search for an artist, and click download, nothing is seen at bottom of page to indicate the download is in progress. any tips or advice as to what is going on would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot, burnsie windows xp

Does the file go into the download pane at all? If not, might be just a license issue (click on link)

When I attempt to dwnld a file, I get a count of 60 files, but only 4 are in the download pane. Also, I get a file named Can you afford $0.09? (www.BuyLegalMp3.com) in the download pane. When I try to block or junk the file, I notice that it always resurfaces with another IP address.

Any thoughts on this?

Those ones are sponsored spam. See these for tips: autogenerated spam results, & autogenerated mp3 spam results, & Sponsored Results (click on link). The Junk filter will easily filter out the 1st 2 types of spam. Your keyword filter will be best against the sponsored spam. Check the link for tips.

Also beware of search results that show perhaps 100 for the 1st, 99 for 2nd, ...
Those are fake files. You will never be able to downld them. It's deliberate spam to kill people's enthusiasm. Instead, in those cases, choose those with 20 or 10 or less results.
