Viruses

Can a virus be downloaded using Limewire?

birdy June 16th, 2006 08:01 PM

There are lots of infected files around;) Read through this
WARNING: Viruses on the network you should be aware of

Make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & scan files before opening!

Can you post or PM me with the answer, birdy?

Thanks in advance.

Hi LiveWireNewB,
This is the answer that Lindsey got

Games are a big gamble actually. Apart from being infected, most of them will need a CD or activation code to run... so they're pretty much useless anyway. As for viruses, just scan everything you download with your AV before your open it!!! Make sure you read through this
WARNING: Viruses on the network you should be aware of

Just keep searching, be careful & if you find a game that works it's a bonus:D

Hi, I was interested in downloading PeerGuardian, but I don't know which one to get but there are so many different ones to get, I don't know which one is best for me. I have Windows XP SP2. Thanks and please help.

Get PeerGuardian from here

Look on that link you gave me please. I have tried one of them and my city isn't listed, does this matter? Thank you.

Choose the mirror site closest to you. If it doesn't work then try another one.
It really doesn't matter.

Using this program, is it safe to allow HTTP? I blocked it then when I tired to access the internet I couldn't. When I unblocked it I could. Is it still blocking bad things in my Shared files? Will it scan on its on without it being open. Why does it flash at the bottom at times when it is closed out? I would appreciate it if you would please try and answer these questions. Thanks a whole lot.

Well, maybe you should just give me a list of things I need to do with this program like what you have it set to that works or whatever. Thanks.

Well, maybe you should look it up. If the information below is of no use to you, search with Google.
