HELP!! Downloading...(napster gets involved)
 

:mad: i had problems downloading because of the whol LW lisense thing!! i have now sorted that thnks 2 this forum BUT...BUT now lol wen i click the song i wish to download it automatically opens a napster webpage!!! im soooooo confused!! an all i want to do is listen 2my music! how hard can it be lolol!!:confused: :D please help me lol!!

i have searched this forum for some help but still no luck . cannot download as a link to napster appears each time, i have only had the program for 40 minutes and just paid 18 dollars for it. any one know how to stop napster coming up , please let me know ,

Did you try adding napster to the keyword. I've never seen it so I'm not sure which keyword will work. I'll try to investigate. I'm sure it's the same principle. It's just a matter of finding which word that needs filtering out. Can someone send me a personal message & tell me attempting to download which songs took you to napster web site. Please don't post the titles of songs on the forums for copyright reasons.

Probably the easiest way to avoid it at the moment is not to downld from T3 sources but instead choose modem or cable.

ok i have read the link that comes up on napster, it is coming up because the same song has been downloaded or attempted to be downloaded more than 5 times, as was in my case as the ones i originally downloaded were plain crap. once another song was searched the prob went away. something to do with copyright and that the song now needed to be purchased.:rolleyes:

I'm having the same problem, for songs I've never attempted to download before. I tried filtering out the keyword "Napster". The window pops up every time I try to download (I've tried several different songs and speeds). Searching works fine, but when I click on Download Now, the window pops up with no change in LimeWire. Insanity!

As for the napster issue. People have sent me lists of files it happened to but I can't seem to replicate the problem. I've been getting "some" fake results but that's all. I suspect if there is something related to napster then it's either due to adware or ... there is something within these files that is catching onto a weakness of Explorer.
I've been trying to replicate the problem on my mac, so I'll need to try it out on windows to see what happens there. That could take a while since my windows works very slowly. :D

Is the window that pops up always Internet Explorer? The more details of what happens the better.

Yes, it pops up in IE, which was unusual because I have Firefox set as my default browser in all of my programs.
