Try playing it with VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) & see how it plays. You may need to convert it to mpeg 4 or H.264; How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) - for video

Do you mean that you've converted it for iPod, added it & there's no sound when you play it on the iPod? Or is there no sound when you play the movie on your computer?

Which converter did you use? Some people have had trouble with no audio after converting with Videora. The settings I've used for Videora are
Bitrate - 128kbps
Channels - stereo
Sample Rate - Input (default)
Volume - 100%
and the audio was fine after converting. I prefer the 3GP converter, there's some info here about how to use it

If you're having the no audio issue when just playing the file on your computer, you might need extra codecs for your player. Or you could try VLC player which is free & plays just about anything;)

Hi birdy/lord of the rings

I wasn't really clear there, sorry, i've only tried to open the file on my pc, tried opening with media player and power dvd, no sound.

I haven't yet tried to convert the file to mp4 for the ipod (just thought it might be pointless if theres no sound?) but if thats the case that i may need extra codec? will it be worth trying to transfer to the ipod anyway as that was the original plan.

P.s I'm using xilisoft video converter, which i've no probs with at all.

Cheers in advance guys:)

I'd make sure that it plays ok before converting it, but it's up to you! You could try the XP codec pack (see my codecs link) for your WMP or just try it with VLC... if VLC gives you no sound then chances are that it's a bad file.
It's worth checking out a file before download with Bitzi. If the file's been rated then you'll get an idea of content & quality, saves wasting time downloading junk:)
