What version of Java do you have? The newest versions of LW should only run with Java 1.5 due to security issues with Java 1.4 (& perhaps some other limitations) So make sure you have Java 1.5

One way is to go to the LW menu bar, choose Help menu, then About LW & that will show which specific LW & Java version is being used. If you run a bug report to view, you will see such details at the top of the report.

Deleting the preferences seems to have worked. They were in the C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire folder. Now they have appeared in the C:/Documents and Settings/*yourusername*/Application Data/limewire folder. Thanks for the help!
