song title tab number I am using Limewire Pro 4.9. When I do a search on a song it brings up a tab in the download viewer with the name of the song, along with the title it brings up a number. I used to think this was the number of selections it found but it seems it is not. I get numbers like 365 and only 30 or 40 show up on my download viewr screen. What is this number and what does it show? Thanks |
If I'm understanding you correctly it is the number of hosts sharing that file... Recently there has been a number of fake files around especially when it comes to the more popular files...It's best to select a lower number under 50.. On the other hand the other number that shows up is the file size...;) I hope this helped.....:) |
question? Thank you So if 40 or 50 files come up when I select a particular artist and the tab says 826 does that indicate that 826 people are sharing those 40 or 50 files? Is that how it works? Thanks for your reply! |
Each file is seperate and if the number beside it says 120 (lets say) that means that there are 120 hosts available to share that file from....:) |
Thank you Yes I understand that about each individual song file but the number I am thinking about is atttached to the tab when you open up a search. This number does not refer to individual files but all the files that are available in the tab. So does that refer to how many people have those files available? I Used to think it referred to how many files were available to be downloaded but that does not seem to be the case. Again thanks |
The # column of the search results represents how many people were found at that time to be sharing that file. So you should be able to connect to some of them at least. |
Sorry but it is not one file that is being shared, there are about ..well 30-45-69 whatever but the number on the tab is usually much larger say 5oo or 800. This number is not associated with one file but is located on the tab for the window that opens when you do a new search. Each time a new search is done a new file window opens with a tab and this number associated with it. I often seach for a band name so there would be many different individual files associated with this band...I wish I knew the right words to describe it better... Thanks I appreciate your advice |
I think I know what you mean now the number is next to the search you have typed in like 1562/365... If thats it lol it means that there has been 1562 files found in reference to your search and 365 hosts are sharing the files.. Is that what you mean....;) |
