Downloading Music = Link to Website?! Hi, I have used limewire for a long time and have never experienced many problems, until recently. Lately I have tried to download music and when i double click on the desired file (or simply click "download") I am given a link to another site informing me about other downloads etc [such as this link: (http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/musi...html?aff=gnnap)] and not allowing me to download the actual file. This could be due to my recent instalment of Firefox opposed to using Microsoft Internet Explorer however I am unsure. Please if anyone has any idea what is going on please help me to solve this, thank you! |
Ahhh Ok, just uninstalled Firefox, now I am unable to download any files whatsoever. HELP! |
This has been discussed a lot lately. Perhaps you couldn't find the forum search button. But the answer is to get the newest LW version & it stops these spam files having this effect. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml When you see search results like 100 or one, 99 for next, etc. go further down the list & choose those with 10 or 20 sources. The Overpeers, etc. are spamming the network with such files when people search for copyright material. Those with 100, etc. are fake. |
Is there anyway to fix this problem without upgrading? My brother paid for a subscription with 4.9 and it's still good for quite some time, so I don't want to upgrade now. I would get the turbo but I actually have no method for paying (going to university and I don't have a credit card or a job) EDIT: I just found out that what I have was probably free. ****. He got scammed :/ |
