download back to zero% I have a problem with one of my download. its just one file its about 117mb and whenever i exit limewire it goes back to zero. the only think of why it happened is because of this one time when i left my computer while downloading it showed an error that says kinda like "error: sorry cannot resume downloads" it only happens with this file. pls help |
Don't really know why it would do this only with one file, but have you tried canceling the download and deleting the incomplete file. Then try searching for it again and redownloading it. Use Bitzi to check the file Right-click on searchresult and choose Advanced>Lookup File with Bitzi It could be a bad file or maybe the downloads.dat file in the incompletefolder got currupted in some way (very strange that it would just be the one download if that was the case) |
I've fixed it already. But I had to start the whole download again. thanks by the way. its a bummer since im using dial-up. and its a long way to go. |
This may happen if LW crashes or isn't closed properly before shutting down computer. In such cases with the new LW 4.12.3 the downlds will no longer start from zero %, but will start from where they were. ;) |
This ONLY started w/ me after I UPDATED to 4.12, I had to cancel and delete a file over 30 times until I got one that would download THIS NEW LIMEWIRE VERSION SUCKS!!!!! |
