what gives with the buy for a lifetime and then get hit for software package

I would like to say that the tactics of trying to buy a single software and then getting hit with a bundle is bad enough but now I am being charged 51.26 for limewire software when i did not hit the confirmation button, since i did not want the other software. Then when i find out that my card had been charged and there is no way to talk to or send an e mail to a human at Limewire, I get very pissed. I bought your software but cannot use it nor can i get support. Whats up with that as far as I can say the software was good but your business/technical support is lacking, I am going to be disputing the charge in the morning.
thank you

You have been scammed LimeWire Basic is free and Pro is $18.88 for Pro and 6 months of free upgrades. There are no packages or anything else associated with LimeWire. The link below is the official site.

Unfortunately, like a lots and lots have newbies before you, you have given your payments details to criminals and con artists.

Contact your CC company and tell them you have been conned out of your money.

Also, just remember next time you want to buy stuff from an internet company, do some research beause the internet is not like your local high street and a lot of this con artists set up their bogus internet companies in offshore places where consumer laws are lax.

Not so. If the basic version directed you then you were using a re-adjusted copy from a scam site. LW Pro costs $18 odd not as much as you paid. Open the program & does it say pro on the main window?

The "official site" does NOT offer packages!!! http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

That "is" the url. If you go to another, then your browser has been compromised!!!

Just as WW and I have said, you could not have bought LW from the official site and if, as you say, you can avoid scam sites how then did you get suckered in this "newby" trap set by scam artists.

Unless your browser got hi-jacked, where surfers have been taken away from the official site and dropped in a scam site, you must have gone to a "too good to be true" site.

As said by WW, please provide the URL where you were conned.
