Default long space ...mp3 <--what is this?

most all mp3s have a long space then the extention .mp3 None of these will play but there are tons and tons of them on the network. What's the deal?

example: filename <ssssppppppaaaaacccccceeeeeeeeee> .mp3

thanks

Most likely faked files. Especially when they come up in the hundreds in your search result. So, stay away from them. Choose files with 10-20 hosts and check each downloaded file with a good Antivirus program and Anti-Spyware program.
Besides, you can use the "Look up with Bitzi" function by right clicking on the file in the search result and then going to Advanced>Look up with Bitzi.

I'm sure your right about fake files but out of 10 thousand results they all seem to be this way. For instance...try to search for the song by **********

Sorry pal, but no names of files (or artists) you're trying to download....., next time use the PM button.
I'll try what I can do.....and let you know whether I have the same result.

Opps.... Does anyone know if anyone is working on a fix for this? I deleted the ones I have that are bad so I dont reshare them but it looks like most don't know how. Maybe like a scan tool to filter them out. Add on maybe?

What do you mean with fix for it? Did you try to use the LW player to play them? And did you check whether it is enabled in LW? (go LW>Tools>Options>Player)

There seems to be tons of files on the network that have the name of the file then a large space before the extention .mp3. I assume an effort to reduce the effectiveness of the network. Is there a add-on released that anyone knows of that would delete file like this you may have on your hard drive and also ignore/filter other bogus files during a search?
