"Awaiting Source" means that the host(s) of the file could not be found at the time you trying to download the file.....
What you can do to increase the download speed is explained in this thread:

Ok, I read through it and still am having problems. So "Awaiting Source" means that the host can not be found at this time. Then all I have to do then is find it but, I click on "Find Sources" before I get the "Awaiting Source" why couldn't it find a source in "Find Sources"? And is there anyway that I can find the source myself?

Thanks

With "couldn't find" I meant that the host(s) are not online at that time, have renamed the file, deleted the file, or have moved the file you're trying to download.
LW will try every so often to find host(s) for that file automatically; not much you can do though.

So I should just leave my LimeWire open and hope that they will start downloading the files??? Or try to find someone else with the same file I am looking for??? (Which I have been and it seems no one else has it)

Thanks

Also some of the ones that are saying "Awaiting Sources" have been partially downloaded already. Like yesterday I was downloading a video and it stopped at 10% and said "Awaiting Sources". What is up with that???

Thanks

Of course you can try and research for the file; as I said, it is possible that the host of the file has deleted it or moved or renamed.
And you also need to consider that people all around the world share their files using the gnutella network. That means that the host of the file might be in a different time zone and might come online some time.
I even had situations where I had downloaded up to 80-90% of a file, but in the end I couldn't finish my download because the one host of the file didn't come back online or did one of the other things I mentioned above.
But that's the way it is,.......

well I am just going to leave it on. Also when I restart my computer one out of every 2 or 3 times one of them start to download again. Pretty weird.
