![]() Can anyone tell me how to get Limewire completely off my computer? I downloaded it, was unhappy, so uninstalled it via the add/remove programmes in My Computer. But it's still on there! And ****ing up my computer! Please someone help me. Can it be legal that Limewire can do this? |

![]() I have the same problem and similiar problems with Limewire. It's like something out of sci-fi movie. For starters, Limewire CONSTANTLY starts up even after I have exited the program. So I uninstalled the application from my computer because I couldn't do anything else on my computer without being interrupted but now I keep getting error messages saying something to the effect that Limewire couldn't launch because of an error code. Why is Limewire trying to launch if I've uninstalled it?And why, when I follow these annoying instructions to copy the code and send it to "bugs@limewire.com" do I get a bounce back on Outlook saying that there's no such address. Ah! I love Limewire but NOT at the expense I having it launch itself every 3 seconds while I'm on another application on my computer. |

![]() I know it's a nightmare isn't it? I've uninstalled it but there are still Limewire applications and files showing up whenever I do a search, and I'm not allowed to delete them. It's not good to hear that their e-mail address is a fake. It's pretty crap that they don't have any support numbers or addresses for you to contact to get help. Has anyone out there managed to solve this problem? |

![]() LW isn't the problem here (for both of you). Maybe it's your carefree use of a P2P program and possibly your attitude to look for a problem at the wrong places. You both have a virus on your machines !!! http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=41432 You would have found out about it already, if you had bothered to use the search function of this forum, instead of just posting your "knowledge" here. If you've read through the above link, go here to get some free computerhelp (since I do not believe you'll be able to fix this problem by yourself): http://norbiesworld.co.uk/computerhelp And for you who has uninstalled LW with the Contol Panel>Remove Program option, you might have to redownload LW from the official site and install it, so that it can remove the rest of the program (if you're lucky). And when you then still want to get rid of LW, then use the uninstall .exe via START>Programs>Limewire>Uninstall http://www.limewire.com/ ![]()
