Still Having Download problems I'm New to LW & currently have the newest version. I'm Using the newest version of Java with windows XP. I have a brand new laptop with a wireless Lan. I have shut down what I think is my Firewall. When I try to download movies, it does not work. It keeps freezing on "connecting" then goes to "needs more sources" even when i have lots of hits. Before I submitted this email, I tried suggestions that I was reading here. I deleted LimeWire & Java & downloaded them to my computer & then Installed them without the WEB. I then deleted the ".LIMEWIRE" folder. All of this & I still can't seem to download movies. It works well for songs & other folders. Just when it is a full length motion picture - 700megs. Downloading smaller video clips & short movies work. Do you have any other tips that I may not have tried. I also tried making my queries more specific but all that did was make my results not have the movie I wanted. If anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to let me know.... Thank...... If you can download other file types & short movies then your LW's fine! The big movies you're trying to download are probably fakes, there are heaps around. Are these movies new releases? They're more likely to be fake that an older & less popular movie. Stay away from files with huge numbers of sources (up to 100), go for a file with 10 sources or less. Vary your search terms, try the All Types search as well as Video (eg movie title - avi or whatever format you're looking for). Always look up a movie before download with Bitzi. If the file's been rated then you'll get an idea of content & quality. How to use Bitzi |
Thank you for the advice... I will try it out....Neil |
