Uploading in your case will make it slower because your connection is so slow

You can still let people upload from you but with such slow speeds I would turn uploads of while downloading

Go to Tools>Options>Uploads>Slots

Make Max Upload Slots zero when downloading and 1 or 2 when only sharing

Ok Thinks.Just in curiosity. How fast is your connection in Limewire downloading.Because im thinking of getting out of Dial-Up?

Depending on sources, available upload slots etc. up to 240 KB/s (that a 2.3 MBit connection)

You can choose between a lot of connections at different Internet Service Providers (ISP)

If you decide to get a faster connection then make sure that you go with a P2P friendly ISP

Wow thats really fast. How fast can you download a 700Mb file or a movie.

And i bet thats really expensive.

How fast of a connection do u think i can get if i pay 35$ a month for a ISP.
And how much of a download speed would it get depending on other circumstances.

How much did u pay for yours.? So for the questions im just tired of this Dial-up and i want to f really fast!

It's expensive here around 115$ for my connection. (Small Country)

All depends on which country you live in

Find out what choices you have and then compare

Also use the search option on here typing the name of the ISP into it

Try searching Google as well to see if it has any threads from other forums that say if it's P2P friendly or not
