Hi guys!!! I just tried to connect to limewire using my menu bar, and Lime wire wasn't there!!! I had to re- install..then it gave me a list of old downloads form 2 months ago....... and now it has this big ugly b
brick wall so I've got a firewall stopping it somewhere....what happened???? wxp lw4.9version p.s. now I don't have a firewall anymore, but I still would like to know what happened......am now having problems downloading anything... and I had to reset everything

The brick wall means you don't have a properly configured firewall. Be it your software firewall or else your connection device. So although your LW 4.9 may work fine, you are still most likely firewalled. That means others will struggle to downld from you. Impossible to direct connect to you also.

Whew!!! I just did a defrag and now my computer is working right again!!!!
NO firewall now either......THanks LOTR for responding..... I still don't know what happened, but I'm not all stuck anymore.....just thought it was weird to lose LW then my whole pc just slooooowed down to a crawl....
