Moving "T-" File Back Into "Incomplete"

(I've just posted this question in another thread, but on 2nd thought it probably fits better here).

I was downloading a file and after pausing the download and closing Limewire, I moved the "T-" file from the "Incomplete" folder to my desktop to preview what I had so far.

Now I tried to copy it back into the incomplete folder and resume the download from within Limewire, but it resumes at 0%. Am I going to have to start the download again, or is there a way to sort this out?

Any help is appreciated.

The T File is afaik just the preview file, and there should be another file ..The incomplete file. But moving incomplete files is risky and can damage the bak and dat files which are also in the incomplete folder. It is worth checking if you have the incomplete File (without the T) still in your incomplete folder, otherwise you may have to re-start I'm afraid.

Correction ... preview files have PREVIEW - listed before the file's name. eg: PREVIEW-T-42586116-File name

Normal incompletes will start with T before their name. What I would recommend is make sure you have the latest LW version (LW 4.12 at least) because this version "does" have the ability to continue after the incomplete preferences get corrupted. Whether this will work in your case I'm not sure but it's worth a try. Do this: Cancel the file from the download window. Then go to Library window, select Incomplete folder, find that file, click Resume button. With any luck it will continue where it was earlier.

By the way, to preview files, I prefer to preview them from the Library -> Incomplete folder. I select the incomplete file & launch it. That stops the creation of a preview file which as many know can be quite large if it's a video file for example.

Ahyes Me culpa. I was thinking of what you see in the LW Library tab ....
