Losing the downloads.dat file! Does this only happen to me? I start my downloads, go of for a lunch break, comes back to find that all my incomplete downloads are there, but due to "full startdisk" the program has quit and deleted the downloads.dat and downloads.bak files! So, now I can restart the downloading, but I lose all that I downloaded before... is this only me, or what? Isn't there any safety on this thing? I assume that there must be a way to stop downloads once you start running low on space, automatically, but now they just keep on running and crashes everything. It is quite frustrating. What do you guys think? |
Well, since you do not seem to consider buying a bigger HDD (an external maybe), ther is not much what you can do. One thing would be cleaning you pc with CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/download/), which will surely free some disk space. Another thing you could do is to calculate first how much disk space you've available and then download only that amount, if necessary one file at a time. LW seems to reserve the diskspace for files put in the download section. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../Smilywais.gif |
