Does this happen with all files that you download? You could try deleting the LW preferences folder (when LW's closed) & see of that helps. Points 2 & 3 here
Fixes for LimeWire
You'll have to reset all your options after doing this

Just make sure that your LW's set up for best performance too, there are some good tips in the thread below

Just make sure that you've got the speed in LW (tools > options > speed) set right (eg. if you've got a cable/dsl speed, don't have the LW speed set to 'modem').

So wait Birdy, I got a connection that usually Dowloads around 50 kb/s minimum on a non-dialup connection, my max has gotten over 200 kb/s, what should mine be set to?

Spookster, do a speed test, find out your upload & download speed (it's not always what your ISP advertise).
http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?more=1

Then when you know your speeds in KB/s (not kb... 8 bits = 1 Byte), you can set your speed according to the guides that LOTR posted in your other thread!

If you're not in the US, scroll down until you find your country & click on the link that's closest to you (some don't work, I don't know why!) & a speed test site should come up with instructions.
