Default Good grief!

Peace.

I'm on a G4 Desktop - OS 9.1. Have been using LW then all of a sudden, nothing will download. The little file in the window shows it is open-as if it is downloading, but no such luck.

What could be the problem?

Can anyone help with this matter?

TJ

Default Hmmmmm....

I appreciate the reply, and it doesn't surprise me, but, what I'm having trouble understanding is what did the ISP do?

I have had Comcast for years, and have used LW w/ Comcast for the entire time. Baffling.

Thanks.

Default ISPs & their P2P Traffic Curbing

Ladieesnapps

ISPs, both side of the Atlantic, are increasingly installing equipment manufactured to curb or disable P2P traffic while leaving other internet traffic untouched.

This allows them to continue to charge their monthly subscriptions while delivering less of a service to you. If you complain they will point you to their small print and probably accuse you of abusing the terms of the service.

In other words it allows them to make more money for a lesser service.

However, saying all that, US colleges are rapidly introducing anti-P2P technology as well.

As for the ordinary person, you have to find another ISP that does not traffic shape or curb P2P internet traffic.
