corrupted lime wire down load and issues
 

I down loaded and then installed lime wire basic and my computer started shutting down at random. I uninstalled and during this process was told I had recieved a corrupted download of lime wire. I need to know what other things I need to do to correct this problem besides uninstall? I also need to know how to avoid getting a corrupted lime wire download if I decide to download again.

If you decide to try installing LW again, try it this way.

Uninstall your current version of Java, then reinstall JRE using the offline installer here
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

After Java's installed, install LW using it's offline installer
http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

For some reason (don't ask me why!), the LW online installer seems to cause problems for a lot of people. Likewise the online Java installer;)
