Default question with uploads???

If anyone has an answer to this, I would really appreciate it.

I have files in my share folder which I would like to share on Limewire.
It is my "Library". There are a lot of hits, but 0/0 uploads.

I don't think they are bad files because I was able to download them from my other computer. I do have a "brick" in front of the globe, but I have turned off all firewalls. Also.. wouldn't have been able to download them from my other computer.

One thing I did notice is when I was on my other computer (not the laptop which i uploaded from), it says that the speed is "ethernet". I have never seen that before. Could this be right? My options are stated "dsl".

Lastly,
Can someone try and download my files? I just want to make sure it is accessible out there.

You can search:
D*M**e M**t**a (artist)
H*p H*p M*x V*l. I*I (title)
R*B M*x V*l. * (title)
E*r*h, W**d & F**e M**a M*x V*l. * (title)

Please search under artist and/or title and try to downloand. Please let me know your responses.

Thank you all!!

In LW go tools > options > bug reports > view example. Scroll down to 'recieved incoming this session'... is it true or false? If it's false, there's a firewall somewhere that's preventing other people from downloading your files.

Don't turn off your software firewall, just configure it for LW (only use 1 software firewall!).
Firewall setup

Your LW's probably detecting an internal firewall within your modem/router. See the sections about enabling UPnP & port forwarding in the thread below for solutions
Connection problems? Check here first!

Downloading at ethernet speed just means that you're downloading from someone on your LAN!

Thank you for you response birdy. Much appreciation there.

The "bug report" did report "false".

Here is the thing.....

I have disabled the "firewall" for Windows XP.
I have SBC isp. I have a 2wire router. I went into my 2wire router settings. In there, firewall is "active". I go into settings. It allows me to pick applications which can pass through the firewall. Gnutella is already listed. I "allow" Gnutella to pass.
The settings for Gnutella is already preset. TCP and UDP are already set at 6346. IP address is set as 69.109.251.179. I can not change settings for TCP or UDP.

Is there something I am missing here? Also.. why is it that I was able to download from my other computer?

Smile FIXED THE PROBLEM!!! Brick wall is torn down!!!

Thanks to the help of Birdy and Sleepless!!!

My brick wall is gone and uploading is now possible.

My solution was this:

1) I checked if i was in "false" mode on LM Bug report. And I was.
2) I turned off my windows xp firewall.
3) I changed the settings on my router...
a) I have SBC isp with 2Wire router.
b) Went into isp/router settings using my ip address (xxx.xx.x.x on the search bar)
c) My firewall was "active". I changed the settings to "allow" applications to pass through the firewall. "Gnutella" was already a listed application. I just added it so it can pass through. The settings for "Gnutella" were already preset. I could not change them.
d) I just took the settings it had and changed them on the LW firewall settings.

Wala... brick wall was torn down.

Don't know if this will help anyone, but I hope I gave an idea.
