Trying to share files with LW 4.10.9
 

I've LW 4.10.9 installed and Windows XP in my PC.
I've been 'uploading' music for weeks on end after reading dozens of posts related to this issue and almost half out of 120 or so entries in Download/Upload Problems . I didn't find any info about sharing files with 4.10.9 especifically, but I kept trying to upload anyway with what I had.

A few days ago I asked a friend to check and find in his LimeWire some songs I uploaded and he told me he was unable to find them. Obviously I'm doing something wrong and my music is not available to everybody as I wish.
The windows in this version of LW are not the same of those referred to in those threads I read about sharing and I use LimeWire in Spanish. Could somebody help, please?

Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?

Best way of sharing directly is magnet links, although direct connecting is very good if both of you have your firewalls properly configured & free bandwidth & slots for uploading & downlding; How to use Magnet Links & Direct Connect

There is not a brick wall on the world icon.
I do not want to share directly. I asked my friend to check only because I read somewhere that I am unable to see the songs I upload myself.
