LimeWire starting by itself? What's the deal with this new program? Used to be that you could have the option to start or not start Limewire on computer startup. When I downloaded the new program and even if I choose the option to not start the program Limewire still runs. This is frustrating b/c it slows my computer down drastically and sometimes it even acts as if it's going to freeze up. The only thing for me to do is uninstall the Limewire program. I have hundreds of files through Limewire but if this continues I may not re install. Can someone help me with this problem? Thanx! |
Well, looks like you got yourself some intruder; read here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=41432 Here are some programs to prevent and possibly remove them(it): http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/(free) http://www.grisoft.com(good free AVG) http://www.ewido.com(free trial which can still be used and updated after the period has ended -the best in my opinion) http://www.ccleaner.com/download/(free) Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE) If you can't get rid of it go here and get some free computer help: http://norbiesworld.co.uk/computerhelp http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../Smilywais.gif |
