Default LimeWire starting by itself?

What's the deal with this new program? Used to be that you could have the option to start or not start Limewire on computer startup. When I downloaded the new program and even if I choose the option to not start the program Limewire still runs. This is frustrating b/c it slows my computer down drastically and sometimes it even acts as if it's going to freeze up. The only thing for me to do is uninstall the Limewire program. I have hundreds of files through Limewire but if this continues I may not re install. Can someone help me with this problem? Thanx!
