Limewire worked like 2 weeks ago when i last used it, and right now when I connect, i get 5 green bars and says my connection is excellent. For some reason when i try to download anything it stays at connecting and doesnt give me need more sources or doesnt give me downloading, just connecting...

help!

umm wierd, found out that i can download video, but cant download mp3s... does this mean anything?

Nope cant do any songs, i've tried multiple titles and artists but no songs work... I can download video tho so i dunno

As I said, has something to do with faked files hosted by groups or people trying to discourage P2P users from downloading copyright protected files.
Take my advice above and be persistent, searching at different times of the day or night and choosing files with a small number of hosts.

How come it wasnt this hard 2 weeks ago?

Well, then what has changed on your computer since then? Did you have any new programs installed? Any driver updates, any system crashes?

One thing you could try is to delete the LW preference folder as descibed in Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire
