all downloads corrupted I have been a Limewire user for a few years and have never had any trouble. I recently began my second year of college, which uses an ethernet connection to the internet. Every audio file that I download is corrupted and loops, whether it be from a T3 connection or Cable/DSL and whether it has 2 or 20 sources. Can anyone offer any advice for me? |
Are you getting a corrupt file message? Have you tried disabling the LW player & making something else your default player? The LW player is pretty weak & can suffer badly if you're doing a lot of dowloading! Otherwise, have a look through these threads http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...oads+corrupted http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...oads+corrupted http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...oads+corrupted (you can try LOTR's experiment in the thread above & download a magnet link file... see if it's corrupted too) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...oads+corrupted |
I get the file corrupted message every time. I also use iTunes rather than the limewire media player |
Go through those threads. There's one that mentions corruption problems because of a firewall... don't know if that could be a factor for you? Your college probably has a fairly powerful firewall! Try the experiment of downloading a magnet link file... see what happens then. |
The magnet link files were corrupted also. It must be something with the school's internet connection or firewall |
