problem downloading new version of limewire
 

i almost finished installing the new version of lime wire but it said "the installation is corrupted please download and install the program again" i also got another error message at the begginning of the installation it said"the older version was still running " so i uninstalled the older version but i kept having the same error message so i clicked ignore

Remove your current version of Java & reinstall the JRE using the offline installer here

Now try reinstalling LW using it's offline installer, it should uninstall any old version before reinstalling the new one

If that doesn't work, you might have to delete all old LW files manually & then reinstall the new LW version.
How did you uninstall the old version? If you did it via add/remove programs, it can cause problems! The right way to go is start > all programs > LW > now use the uninstall option.
