Unhappy Limewire's Bug Fix

When I logged into Limewire today, it notified me there was a fix for downloading hesitation. While downloading the fix it uninstalled my Limewire. It then said file was corrupt and to reinstall Limewire again. When doing this got an error message saying it couldn't download. Message was:
Output folder: C:\ProgramFiles\Limewire
Output folder: C:\ProgramFiles\Limewire
Extract: COPYING
Can't write: C:\ProgramFiles\LimeWire\GenericWindowsUtil.dll

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi Betsy. I have no idea what this "Bug Fix" is and am wondering if it is in fact some kind of spyware that you might have somehow downloaded.

Do you run regular checks with Anti Virus and Anti Spyware programmes.

I'm not an expert on Windows, but something seems a little fishy here.

Take a look at this thread, and possibly pay a visit to Norbies world who will check out your system online. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=41432

If you need more help please give us more details of your system, and Limewire version etc.

Thanks for your response. Actually, after re-booting a couple of times I finally did get Limewire to download without a problem. But are you saying you don't know of any "fix" that Limewire put out for "download hesitations? (I just have Basic).

I don't know of any such "fix" Ah well I guess you won't see it again, but if you do, try and describe it in detail ..what you see on the screen, or , ideally, post a screenshot.

As long as you are up and running, that's the main thing
