move folder with incomplete downloads

My C: drive is almost full. Therefore I would like to move my folder with incomplete downloads to another harddrive. Is it possible to change the path of the folder with incomplete downloads? Does anybody know how to change it? Thanks in advance

If you are running XP you can go to C:Drive and find the incomplete folder click on it then choose move this folder then select where you want to move it to. Do this with LimeWire closed. Then with LimeWire open go to tools/options/saving and change the save folder to the new location. I have done it this way successfully before but there was 1 time I did it like this and lost all of my incomplete files.

Path of folder with incomplete items

Hello,
I think, that the path you mention, is the path with the downloaded items, which are finished. That one isn't that difficult to change. But what I mean is the path for the folder with the incomplete items....
This is what is written in the manual:
"At setup, LimeWire prompted you to designate the location of your Shared Directory. The Saving window allows you to change the location of your Shared Directory. The default Shared Directory location for Windows users is the Shared folder in the Documents and Settings folder. The Incomplete Directory stores incompletely downloaded files, and is also located in the Documents and Settings folder by default."
Now, the Shared Directory, from which the path can easily be changed, isn't the same as the Incomplete Directory. How can you change the path for the last one?

Thanks again

I am new to Limewire. I have tended to leave the computer on 24/7 to see if that helps pull in the downloads. I have tried to get a certain song, which is not represented by many seach results. One did get to 96% complete, and now nothing more for nearly a week. I can use the preview function to hear it. Is there any way to save this incomplete file? Does it live on my machine? and if so, how can I locate it? Running WIN XP Pro SP2. TIA.

1. How to move downloads to new location

2. See How to Change download location (click on link)

3. See How to Change download location (click on link) (specific for folders)

To find the incomplete files, go to Library window & select incomplete folder & press Explore button. This will open the folder for you. The video might only be missing end credits.

For fast & easy access, go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you.

For me in windows, when I changed download location of the audio type media, the incomplete folder followed (at least a new one was created.) And some incomplete files were also transfered. This hasn't happened for everybody else though.
