Default connected, sources found, nothing doing

I've been using LimeWire quite happily for a week or so, downloaded loads of stuff, no probs. Now suddenly when I try to download something it says it can't find enough sources, even when there's 80-odd!! I'm connected, my firewall is no different now from when I started, I even tried the whole delete whatever that folder was, then realised I probably didn't have the same problem since I was connected. I have 5 green bars, I can search quite happily, I just can't get anything to download... It's driving me nuts!!! I have 1Gb of RAM, btw...

Try having a read through this guide. I strongly suggest you read the whole guide and follow the links.

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=56904

Also have a look in your connections what UltraPeers you connect to. Browse them. If they say T3 then delete them. This next thing probably doesn't apply to you as you are getting many results but if they say Modem delete them as well. I find that you often get the best results from T1 UltraPeers

If using the advice in the guide helped then ignore the thing about deleting T3 UltraPeers. They are not all bad, but some are.

I tried the bitrate thing - tried to download a 320 from a T1, same thing. Just says connecting, then 'Need more sources'. Every single b*****y time!!! It was fine until the day before yesterday, then suddenly it's just whacked out on me. I haven't done anything different...
I even tried going into the firewall thingummy settings that someone had suggested doing and I added Gnutella to the list, twice, like it said, but now whenever I go back to check it it has changed the ISP to the name of my computer and now I find the port LimeWire is listening on has also changed so I went back and still nothing. Just sits there in the download box for the longest time saying it's connecting, and then says it needs more sources...

Have a feeling you really didn't follow my advice very well about reading the whole guide and following the links, and really testing this out, since your reply came half an hour later. Still I might be wrong ??

I was talking about UltraPeers not who you download from. If you do not have a connections tab (This is where you see what ultrapeers you are connected through) then go to View>Show/Hide>Connections and press it once

Also if you have tried many downloads that didn't work, your incomplete folder might be full of canceled files

Go to your library in Limewire after cancelling all downloads currently in the download window. press incomplete then highlight a file, press Ctrl+a and then Delete on your keyboard. This will clear your download folder.

Now try following the advice in the guide and this time take your time trying it out. Don't just look for one or two songs, but try different ones. Old, New, Popular, Unknown. If this still doesn't work, PM me what keywords you used to search, then I can try and see if there may be something else wrong with your limewire

BTW post here what kind of connection you have (eg. Dial-Up, Broadband, ISDN)
Also how much RAM has your computer got

Also try few files at a time 1-3. not more than that. If they do not work then cancel them
