Cool Computer was stolen

Hi folks,

First timer on the forums here so be gentle with me!

I purchased limewire pro about a year ago, however we were burgled two weeks ago and my laptop was stolen

I'm sure I purchased some kind of lifetime membership, however when I just tried to download it again, it says something like my email address is not recognised and if you purchased more than six months ago then basically your membership has run out

Can anyone advise?

TIA

LW Pro costs $18.88 & covers you for 6 months of updates & email support. There's no life membership. It sounds like you were scammed

The only official site for downloading either LW basic (free) or Pro is
www.limewire.com. If you download from a scam site then you risk getting an unclean version of LW, as well as paying more than you should:wink:

Check out the thread below. It's pretty long but has some good info about scam sites etc

Oh dear, having read that thread, yes it does look like I was scammed. You know at the time I think I was charged about double what I expected it to be, but thought I'd made a mistake with the dollars to pounds conversion.

Ah well, too late to do anything about it now and I'll consider it a lesson well learned. Thanks for your help.
