56k... i know, i know... lol
 

hey guys listen i have a 56k modem (yes, you read correctly!) and im having problems getting limewire to connect to more than 4 people at one given time, meaning my downloads hover around 3 or 4kbs... anyone have a suggestion? (except a sarcastic "get a new computer/modem"?)

There is not much to suggest. You won't get more than 5-7 KB anyways. Try to reduce the upload slots to one (more wouldn't be reasonable anyway). Download only one file at a time. Do not serve the internet while downloading. That's all about it that I could think of.....

Yeah I had Dial-Up a few months back and the most I could ever get is 6 kb/s, I am sorry to say but you are stuck with that until you upgrade your Internet to ADSL, DSL, Cable, T1, T3.

lol i did too then i switched to broadband and man i can download a lot each song for me 3-4 mins in the limewire basic u should consider switching
