Default Question about pausing downloads

I have version 4.0.7.

If you want to pause a download and resume it later, do u just press 'kill download'? Becuz I never saw a pause button there........I've had LimeWire for a couple years now, and I've always pressed 'kill download'. But today I pressed 'kill download' and later my file wasn't there anymore. It wasn't in my incomplete files or anything.

In limewire go to Tools>Options>Saving, and in the box where it say's "Days to Keep Incomplete Files" set it to 999 or something and click apply. That will keep your files in the incomplete folder until you get them finished.

Hey, yea I figured out yesterday that that was the problem. I was looking in the options, and discovered that it was set to save incomplete files for only 7 days! Thanks for the help.

Hi Mysterious,..........I don't know. I'm not familiar with that version. You really should up-date to the current one. It'd probably be better for you and also for the network.

If you do up-date, make sure you save the installer to your current version in a safe place. Sometimes when people up-date they can't get it to work right and then blame limewire, when what they should have done was save the old installer. That way you can always go back to the old version.........Just a little tip.

Oh ok......Well I've been reading that people have been having problems with tha latest version, so I'm scared to update. Can I update to a version before that one?

Thanks for that info, I'll make sure to save tha installer.
