![]() Hi, Im Brad from Australia. I've used heaps of downloading programs, mostly Gnutella based. Limewire, Frostwire, Bearshare etc. But recently, Bearshare updated and I didn't like the new update, so I moved back to Limewire. I noticed, when I downloaded files, It said " Connecting " and then after that it would say " Need More Sources ". I kinda' looked around, and the solutions to these problems were explained to complicatably. So I was wondering, why does it do this? Can you explain what to do to stop this? Thanks -Brad 1. ![]() Bitzi is for verifying files are ok & seeing if there's any user feedback to see that the file is good or poor, or whatever. BearShare now has content filtering. That's why the new versions are no good. They sold themselves out after out of court settlement. Hi Brad from Australia. The way files download using LW or FW are a litte different to BS. Be aware of recent spamming on the network of fake files. See Recognising fake files which may answer why your downlds are "connecting" for ages & then go to need more sources. That's a typical symptom & description of fake files. How to stop it? Don't choose copyright files to download. Choose modem users to download from. Choose those with just a few hosts when you get hundreds or thousands of results for a single search (98% of those will be fake with such high search results!) |

![]() Yep ... check the stickies in the bearshare forums & you'll find a link to an old beta which is "the" best BS! ![]() ![]() Look for "BearShare has been sabotaged." in the Open Discussion section of BS forum sections. |
