Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? *YOUR TEST WORKED* (YES Worked) 13. Try and download a magnet file from here and see what speed you get for it, then post the result as well: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml - I got about 110 kbps |
My first bet would be updating Java. Uninstall all Java versions on your system. Reboot and then download the JRE offline installer of the newest Java version from here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp Install it and reboot again. Secondly, I think trying to delete the LW preference folder to exclude it as possible cause might also have an effect. Read here on how to delete this folder (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420 :Smilywais: |
still same max 2 kb/s |
ive updated my java, deleted the LW preference........... whatelse to do to make my speed boost up like before? |
Well, since you get an acceptable speed with the magnet link, the problem seems not on your end. It looks like it is connected to the people hosting the file(s). You might want to read here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...wnload+success And here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...wnload+success And maybe using the patches mentioned in this thread might be useful as well: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ht=party+patch :Smilywais: |
I think my isp is capping BT and p2p sighs........ They have capped my Bt which was from 120 kb/s max and right now its not more than 5 kb/s |
