Default Firewall?

Ok, my limewire has worked for about 5 months now, and i always had a firewall up, but now it doesn't find music, it just says that there is a firewall preventing limewire from locating to the network, and i have the Norton Internet Security 2006, and i can't figure out how to add limewire to my list of exceptions, or just totally turn off the firewall, any help?

If you're using XP, make sure XP firewall is disabled. These 2 links may or may not help: 1. Configuring Norton Internet Security, & also Reconfiguring Norton Firewall

Go to the control panel, double click on Windows Firewall, check the disable box.

BTW what brand & model of modem/router do you have? If you still see firewall icon with both firewalls turned off then perhaps this is the problem.

I wouldn't recommend normally running without any firewall. Configure Norton to allow LW. Add LimeWire or Gnutella, etc.

i dont mean i turned my personal firewall off, i just configured limewire to be allowed, but it already allowed limewire, so that wasn't the problem, and thanks, i can't live without limeiwire
