Hmm.. yea.. proxies are definitely not my thing, don't understand what they are at all.. but I guess since I have no firewall icon, there shouldn't be anything blocking me down the line anywhere, my router is a Linksys WRT54G v6, and it is currently forwarding port 26316 as that is what limewire is using.

I've just installed Limewire, it installed the java for me too (online install) so I assume it installed the latest.

Downloads are proceeding at the lightning speed of 1kbps....and that with a 3.5mbps b'band connection.

So if anyone thinks I'm gonna pay $19 for Pro......!!!!

What's your connection like (how many green bars)? Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall in front of the blue earth)? Have you tried using any other p2p apps & if so, are speeds still slow?

as for an update, its worsened itself now, now i connect, it'll start off the downloads around 1k/s, and then drop to 0k/s and never go up again :( this sucks bad
