Downloading Zip and rar files

Every time I try to download a zip or rar file my antivirus thinks its a virus and it stops the download. How do I get rid of this problem?

Your AV is probably right...zip, rar & exe files are often infected. You should read the sticky below for a bit more info:wink:

Well, I understand that many of them are viruses but every single one of the? I thought it would be a problem with my antivirus or my security.

Did you read through the link in birdy's post? Check the file size before you download. Don't d/l files smaller than 1MB(1000KBs). Also try checking the file with Bitzi Web Lookup to see if it has been rated.

And yes there are that many bad files floating around out there. Best advice is to go out and purchase what your looking for:wink:.
