Limewire connection problems Initially worked. Limewire did not detect a firewall, restarted computer and guess what ; it did detect a firewall. I received a message starting connection but it never does.Have turned off windows firewall and am using mcafee personal firewall. Also have norton anti virus 2006. I am pretty sure i have configured everything for limewire to connect. I have windows xp, aol 9.0 on a broadband connection( globespan usb adsl modem); ram 1g, disk space 21g on c drive,75g on d drive. I do not share a connection with any other computer and connect from home. Limewire version4.12.6, java 1.5.08 I tried the connection test posted on one of the forums and that worked. I am a bit of a loss what to do next and would appreciate some HELP please. Cheers. |

Double check your software firewall config. Read the sticky below, it has heaps of advice & solutions for connection/firewall problems. Connection problems? Check here first! If you're stuck, post back with the answers to the setup details questions in post #2 of that sticky. |
