Downloads queued, won't progress I am having trouble with the queue portion of downloading items. I can browse them, queue them, but then nothing progresses. It remains at 0% for any download I choose. People can upload from me, and there is no firewall activated on my machine. I just upgraded to the latest build of Limewire, and I'm running on Windows ME. What to do? |
Queued = your LW is too busy to deal with them. That means you're over-working LW. Be aware of these things: 1. Recognising fake files 2. Depending on what you're downlding, get into the habit of using Bitzi; How to use Bitzi Web Lookup to see if there's any user feedback. If there's none, then it may be a fake file or else, not reported yet. 3. How to find music |
Thanks, but it's still not downloading... I canceled all the requests I had in queue, canceled all the uploads others were getting from me, and then tried to download one song of about 2400 KB. Nothing was happening at all. I've already run SE-Aware and deleted any "critical" files from my machine, and I'm only downloading mp3 files, per usual. This has only been a problem since I upgraded my LW version. Any other thoughts? Thanks!! |
This may or may not be helpful because it applied to earlier versons: Optimmising uploads & downloads & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...028#post116028 |
