Please explain a little more.

What version of LW are you using,

If you're using 1.8 or 1.9, are you using the built-in player or an external one?

Can you see that the songs are playing, but you just can't hear them?

i have that problem!
 
i can see the songs are playing, but can't hear them!! please help! i know my speakers are working because i hear the songs. but as soon as i try to navigate around or search, the souond cuts out and the only thing i can do to get it back on is restart the computer!

You say you CAN'T hear the, and then you say that you CAN hear the songs. I need a little more explanation.

Are you using the LW player, or a seperate one (eg. MusicMatch)? If the LW player is causing your computer to crash or perform too slowly, go to:
TOOLS > OPTIONS > PLAYER
Uncheck the box named "Use LimeWire mp3 player."
