I have had limewire forever and it has always been great no problems till now.. i am on cable from Charter (now it switched to New Wave) and i checked with them and their policies and they have no anti p2p or anything of that nature.. no specific download limit.. im not real sure what is going on but whenever i download a song it will go okb-2kb... it has never done this and its stressful can you guys please help me? thanks

How many green connection bars do you see?
Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall in front of the blue globe)?
Have you tried other p2p apps & if so, do you still see slow speeds?

Has New Wave taken over Charter's cable internet? I can't find an AUP for New Wave but Charter do have a couple of things in their AUP regarding material that infringes copyright (including music) & also about excessive bandwidth use. We've seen a few Charter customers here with complaints about slow download speeds.
