Default incomplete files where are they?

I'm running v 4.12.6 on Windows XP

When I restart LW I have about 20 incomplete files that tries to restart the downloading process. I checked the LW incomplete folder but there is nothing there. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling LW. I tried a search for "incomplete".

Any suggestions? Thanks to all.

Mine defaulted to 7 days.

But that's not the problem. These won't go away. They have to be taking up space some where.

If you have changed the saving folder then Limewire will make a new incomplete folder at the new location. That might be your problem.

Try searching your computer for incomplete, and see if something pops up

Tried searching for incomplete and looked in the existing LW incomplete folder, both within LW and from Windows Explorer. Looked for a downloads file, again with no luck.

What makes you so sure that they haven't been deleted after that 7 day period?

When I restart LW some of the 20 start to download, some at 50%-60% etc. So this tells me they have to be somewhere.

All of them are definitely more than 7 days old.

I also tried doing a search on the given file names, again with no luck.

Might help if I mention that I have "Allow partial sharing" enabled and files that I am downloading are being downloaded by others, so again they have to be some where.

It's just not limited to the 20 startup files but all incompletes.

Hmm... sounds strange. Have you tried canceling them, or do you even want them cancelled?

One last thought (Thanks OAH)

There is one other location shared, but if your incompletes somehow ended up there then we got a serious bug and would like to know

1. what version you are using
and 2. where you got it

Go to

C:\Documents and Settings\**Your Username**\Application Data\LimeWire\.NetworkShare\Incomplete (the folder is hidden, so you have to enable "Show hidden files and folders" in Start-->Control Panel-->Folder Options

Tried all the suggestions, read as many previous posts as I could...here's what I finally did.

My incomplete folder had nothing in there but I knew that's where LW saves all those files, so I simply deleted it.

I rebooted my PC and then saw over 27 GB of partially downloaded files, obviously I had this problem for awhile. I deleted the contents.

When I restarted LW, the 20 files that kept trying to connect were gone. As I wanted.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Hope this is of help to someone else in the future.
