my limewire has stopped downloading video files in any format!
 

please help
i use limewire quite a bit but recently i have noticed i can download music files no problem but when i try to download and video clips or film in any format it just keeps saying connecting then need more sources even when there are hundreds there i have tried old and new clips so i know there are enough sources....the only thing i can think of to effect this is that i recently upgraded my internet explorer to version 7 but it makes no sense that i can still download music files can anyone help please...

A lot of video results are fake files ... they are a pain, but with a bit of practice you will get to recognize them

I'm not quite sure if IE7 is responsible in any way but I have not heard any good reports about it and many have gone back to the previous version (I'm a Mac user:))

cheers for the help but i have tried for 2 days random selected film clips even files i had downloaded previously and had worked before and it just wont download im stuck

I'm really puzzled ... that you should get audio files and not video.

IE 7 is probably a red herring:)

Of course if you download from a host one day does not mean you can another. Their slots may be full or they may be offline. I still think what I suggested before should help ... have you checked the files with bitzi?

Also are you sharing and do you have chat enabled. Chat doesn't work atall at the moment but it can help others browse you if it is enabled. If they browse and see nothing they can prevent you from downloading assuming, often wrongly, that you are a freeloader.

Be patient ..try for files with a low number of hosts.. and let us know how you get on .. I'll be away for a bit but someone is always here:)
